The Asunción Province is one of 20 provinces of the Ancash Region of Peru.
The province of Asunción (one of the smallest in land area of the Department) is pate of the 20 provinces of Ancash, this is located in the heart of the central highlands of the Department, on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Blanca, in the Area of Conchucos, a distance of 121 km from the city of Huaraz (Capital of the department) and 521 km. In the city of Lima (capital of Peru) Chacas Its capital city is located about 3350 m, in the midst of extremely rugged terrain.
Bordered on the north by the Province of Yungay, east to the provinces of Carlos Fermín Fitzcarrald and Huari, south and west by the Province of Carhuaz.
